Sable

Sable is the Studio Collection's answer to the enduring popularity of warm-toned wood flooring. While gray-washed and cool-toned floors have dominated trends in recent years, there's been a notable resurgence in appreciation for traditional brown wood tones, and Sable delivers this look at an accessible price.

The color falls squarely in the medium-brown range with distinctly warm undertones—think chestnut, amber, and light coffee notes. This isn't a flat, single-tone brown; there's depth and variation that gives the floor visual interest and authentic wood character.

From a practical standpoint, medium browns like Sable offer excellent balance between showing dirt (lighter floors) and showing dust (darker floors). Everyday debris tends to blend in, making this a forgiving choice for busy households. Metro Vancouver families appreciate floors that still look good years after installation even with active kids and pets.

The 2mm American Oak wear layer displays the grain patterns beautifully at this shade. You can see distinct wood fiber structure, occasional small knots, and natural color variation between planks—all the hallmarks of genuine hardwood.

As with all Studio Collection products, the 18mm total thickness provides substantial heft and quality sound underfoot. Installation is traditional nail-down, which requires professional tools but results in an extremely secure floor.

Consider Sable if you're drawn to traditional wood aesthetics but want to avoid the maintenance demands of solid hardwood. The engineered construction provides better dimensional stability while the genuine wood surface delivers authentic warmth.
