Bering

Bering represents the warm heart of the Seaside Nature collection, offering a brown tone that feels both contemporary and timeless. Where some browns can read as dated or too traditional, Bering strikes a balance that works in both modern coastal homes and more traditional settings.

The construction is identical across the Seaside Nature line—3mm total thickness with a fiberglass-reinforced flexible core designed for glue-down installation. The 22 mil wear layer is substantial for this price point and includes the ceramic bead technology that Beaulieu uses across their premium vinyl lines. This provides scratch resistance that's particularly noticeable in high-traffic areas where muddy boots and wet umbrellas are regular visitors.

What sets Bering apart from competitors at this price point is the quality of the print and texture registration. The Embossed-in-Register process ensures that the textured surface aligns with the printed grain pattern, creating the visual depth you'd expect from more expensive products. In browns especially, this EIR effect makes a significant difference in perceived quality.

The antimicrobial treatment is a feature that often goes unmentioned but provides real value for families with pets. Dog and cat accidents happen—especially after rainy walks—and knowing the flooring itself resists bacterial growth provides peace of mind beyond the waterproof claims. Vancouver flooring installers frequently recommend this collection for pet-friendly households in our wet climate.

The main consideration with Bering, as with all Seaside Nature products, is the glue-down installation requirement. This isn't a weekend DIY project—proper installation requires subfloor preparation, the right adhesive, and experience with timing and placement. Budget for professional installation in your project planning.
