Identity Chestnut

Wicanders Cork Inspire Identity Chestnut represents cork flooring at its most authentic, showcasing the natural patterns and warmth that make this material uniquely appealing. For buyers who appreciate natural materials and sustainable living, this is cork wearing its heart on its sleeve.

The chestnut staining enhances cork's natural cellular structure without obscuring it. Unlike the Fashionable series' concrete-look treatments, Identity Chestnut lets cork be cork—you see the distinctive grain patterns, the natural variation, the organic beauty that defines this sustainable material. The warm brown tones create immediate visual warmth that transforms spaces.

**Metro Vancouver flooring contractors** note that the medium shade variation creates visual interest floor-wide. Individual planks show enough character to feel natural without the dramatic variation that might appear busy in smaller rooms. The effect reads as cohesive rather than random—intentional design rather than manufacturing inconsistency.

Comfort performance matches the collection standard. Cork's natural cushioning provides noticeable fatigue reduction during extended standing, while thermal insulation keeps the floor comfortable year-round. The sound absorption particularly benefits open floor plans where hard surfaces typically create echo.

The HRT finish maintains durability while allowing the natural cork beauty to show through. We observed good scratch resistance in testing, though the warm brown coloring shows dust less readily than the dark Grafite option—a practical advantage for busy households.

At the same premium price point as other Cork Inspire products, Identity Chestnut delivers equal value with a distinctly different aesthetic goal. This is for cork enthusiasts rather than concrete-look seekers—buyers who want their sustainable flooring choice visible and celebrated.
