Paseo Merida

TORLYS Cork XP Designer Paseo Merida represents the pinnacle of cork flooring technology, combining the warmth and comfort cork is known for with modern waterproof performance. The 10.5mm total thickness includes the Enhanced Smart Core that provides remarkable dent resistance—a common concern with traditional cork floors.

The construction quality is immediately apparent. The Uniclic® locking system clicks together with satisfying precision, and the gap-resistant joint design means you can confidently install this in bathrooms and kitchens without worrying about water seeping between planks. The CorkPlus™ Blue underlayment comes pre-attached, saving both installation time and the cost of separate underlay.

Metro Vancouver flooring contractors appreciate how Paseo Merida's high shade variation means minor scratches or scuffs blend naturally into the varied pattern. The TORLYS Maxx Commercial Finish provides commercial-grade wear resistance backed by a 15-year commercial warranty—unusual for cork flooring.

The acoustic properties deserve mention. Cork naturally absorbs sound, and walking on Paseo Merida is noticeably quieter than walking on vinyl or laminate. Families with children or pets will appreciate how the soft surface reduces impact noise and provides gentle cushioning.

Installation is genuinely DIY-friendly thanks to the Uniclic® system, though the 68-3/4" plank length requires some maneuvering in smaller spaces. The ability to install up to 50' x 50' without transitions is a significant advantage for open floor plans. One genuine consideration: at $9.19/sqft, this is premium-priced cork, but the waterproof performance and commercial-grade durability justify the investment for buyers seeking a long-term flooring solution.
