Overview
Boulevard Jasper brings a bold, sophisticated presence to the Cork XP Designer collection with its rich, dark brown tones and distinctive linear texture. Named after the deep, earthy jasper stone, this plank offers a contemporary interpretation of cork flooring that anchors open floor plans and creates visual depth in any room.
The Boulevard series showcases TORLYS' ability to transform natural cork into a design statement. The linear pattern creates a sense of movement and modernity while the dark coloration adds warmth without overwhelming the space. Unlike traditional cork appearances, Boulevard Jasper appeals to homeowners seeking the comfort benefits of cork with a more fashion-forward aesthetic.
Ideal for living rooms, home offices, and bedrooms where comfort underfoot matters as much as style. This dramatic flooring has become increasingly popular throughout Greater Vancouver homes where contemporary design meets natural materials.

TORLYS Cork XP Designer Boulevard Jasper represents the intersection of sustainable building materials and modern design sensibility. At $9.19 per square foot, it sits in the premium tier of cork flooring, but the construction justifies the investment for buyers who value both performance and environmental responsibility.
The Enhanced Smart Core provides exceptional dimensional stability and dent resistance—critical for a softer flooring material that might otherwise show furniture impressions. Metro Vancouver flooring contractors appreciate the 10.5mm total thickness, combined with the attached CorkPlus Blue underlayment featuring Microban antimicrobial protection, which creates one of the most comfortable floors available for standing and walking. This makes Boulevard Jasper an excellent choice for home offices or kitchens where you'll spend extended time on your feet.
Installation uses the industry-leading Uniclic system, which experienced DIYers can tackle with confidence. The click-lock mechanism creates genuinely gap-free joints that maintain the waterproof integrity of the surface. TORLYS allows transition-free installations up to 50' x 50', meaning most residential spaces can be completed without interruption. If damage occurs—a dropped pot or moved furniture—the TORLYS Bulldog tool allows single plank replacement without disturbing the surrounding floor.
The TORLYS Maxx Commercial Finish provides genuine commercial-grade surface protection, validated by the 15-year commercial warranty. For residential use, the lifetime warranty covers wear-through, structural integrity, gapping, and surface waterproofing (up to 72 hours of standing water). The waterproof surface makes Boulevard Jasper suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, and basements—spaces where traditional cork would be risky.
The sustainability story is compelling: cork is harvested from the bark of cork oak trees without cutting them down, the trees regenerate their bark, and the FSC certification ensures responsible forestry practices. For eco-conscious buyers, this is flooring you can feel good about installing.
The primary consideration is the dark coloration—while it hides dust well, it will show scratches from sandy grit more readily than lighter options. Regular sweeping or vacuuming is essential. The price point also places it above many vinyl alternatives that mimic wood or stone, though none match cork's natural thermal comfort and sound-dampening properties.
Boulevard Jasper's deep brown tones and linear texture create a dramatic contemporary foundation. Pairs exceptionally well with white or light gray cabinetry, cream-colored walls, and warm metallic accents like brass or copper. The modern linear pattern complements minimalist and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. Consider lighter area rugs to create visual contrast in seating areas.
Installation Tips
Acclimate planks in the installation room for 48 hours minimum. Maintain consistent room temperature and humidity during acclimation and installation. Use proper expansion gaps at all walls and fixed objects—the cork expands and contracts with humidity changes. For best results over radiant heat, keep floor temperature under 28°C.
Maintenance
Sweep or vacuum regularly with a hard-floor attachment to prevent grit scratches—especially important with the dark Jasper color. Damp mop as needed; the waterproof surface handles cleaning solutions well. Avoid excessive water pooling. Use felt pads under all furniture legs to prevent denting.
