Anderson

Anderson is the kind of floor that just works. Named after Mary Anderson, inventor of the windshield wiper, this shade embodies practical elegance without fuss. The warm beige coloring sits in that sweet spot where it's distinctive enough to add character but neutral enough to not dictate your entire décor scheme.

The 12.3mm thickness provides a substantial feel underfoot that distinguishes Maven from thinner budget laminates. You can feel the difference when walking across the floor—there's a solidity that cheaper products simply don't offer. The HDF core handles the impacts of daily life well, though like all standard laminates, you'll want to wipe up spills promptly rather than letting them sit.

Installation is genuinely straightforward with the Välinge 2G system. Metro Vancouver flooring contractors appreciate the drop-lock mechanism because it means faster project turnaround—you position the plank at an angle and drop it into place without complicated manipulation. For DIY installers, this can mean the difference between a weekend project and a week-long ordeal. The 4-sided micro bevel edges hide minor imperfections in alignment and add visual interest.

The matte finish is a smart choice for family homes. Unlike high-gloss laminates that show every footprint and dust particle, Anderson's surface stays looking clean longer between sweepings. The registered embossed texture adds realism when you look at the floor—the textured patterns align with the printed grain.

Warranty coverage is excellent at this price point. Lifetime residential coverage for stain, wear, and fade gives genuine peace of mind. The 15-year light commercial warranty suggests Beaulieu has confidence in this product's durability for moderately trafficked commercial spaces.

One honest limitation: this is not a waterproof product. For bathrooms, laundry rooms, or anywhere with standing water risk, you'd want to consider the Maven Xtra line with its 72-hour spill protection, or look at vinyl alternatives. But for living rooms, bedrooms, and dry hallways, Anderson delivers real value.
