Overview
Cohen commands attention as the boldest, darkest option in the Maestro collection. Its deep brown tones carry rich chocolate undertones that create stunning contrast against light walls and furnishings. This is flooring that makes a statement, anchoring a room with unmistakable sophistication.
The smoking process particularly enhances Cohen's depth, creating subtle variations within its dark palette that prevent the floor from appearing flat or lifeless. Wire brushing adds tactile dimension and helps mask the inevitable dust and minor scratches that show more prominently on darker floors. The engineered construction with eucalyptus core handles the humidity fluctuations common in coastal climates, preventing the cupping and warping that would be highly visible on such a dark surface.
Cohen excels in spaces with abundant natural light where its depth can be fully appreciated without feeling heavy. It pairs dramatically with white walls, light-colored furniture, and metallic accents. For Metro Vancouver households seeking a dramatic foundation for formal living areas, home offices, or anywhere you want the floor to serve as a design anchor rather than a neutral backdrop, Cohen delivers presence that lighter floors simply cannot match.
Bold, sophisticated dark hardwood for spaces where dramatic flooring serves as the foundation of the design scheme.
