Armoric Xtra

Armoric Xtra captures the sophisticated gray oak trend that's dominated contemporary design for the past several years — and shows no signs of fading. The cool gray coloring features subtle tonal variations that prevent the floor from reading as flat or artificial.

The color depth deserves particular attention. This isn't a washed-out gray that might look dated quickly, but a saturated, intentional gray with enough brown undertone in the grain patterns to maintain visual warmth. It's the difference between a floor that feels cold and uninviting versus one that feels cool and sophisticated. Vancouver flooring professionals often specify Armoric for modern condo renovations where the contemporary aesthetic is paramount.

The matte finish amplifies the contemporary effect. Gloss finishes would undermine the modern sensibility; this matte surface reads as curated and current. Practical benefits include better hiding of footprints and dust between cleanings — valuable in households managing the constant tracked-in moisture of our rainy season.

From a performance standpoint, Armoric shares the collection's strong fundamentals. The 8.3mm thickness provides solid feel underfoot, the Välinge 5G click system installs smoothly, and the 72-hour spill protection opens up kitchen applications that many laminates can't confidently serve.

One design consideration: gray floors demand careful color coordination throughout the space. They work beautifully with intentional design schemes but can clash with warm wood furniture or golden-toned lighting. Know your full design vision before committing.

The lifetime warranty provides confidence that this trend-forward choice won't leave you with regrets. Even if gray floors eventually cycle out of peak fashion, you're covered for the long term.
