Agostino Xtra

Agostino Xtra represents Beaulieu's commitment to combining aesthetic appeal with practical performance. The warm beige coloring features subtle golden undertones that catch light beautifully throughout the day, creating visual depth that cheaper laminates simply can't match.

The construction quality is evident from the moment you handle the planks. At 8.3mm thick with a high-density HDF core, each plank feels substantial without being unwieldy. The 4-sided micro-bevel edges create authentic depth perception, helping the floor read as genuine hardwood rather than a printed surface.

Installation using the Välinge 5G Drop Lock system is genuinely user-friendly. Greater Vancouver flooring contractors appreciate how the planks click together with satisfying precision, and the drop-lock design means less wrestling with angles compared to older click systems. Most homeowners comfortable with basic DIY projects can tackle a room in a day.

The 72-hour spill protection sets Gallo Xtra apart from standard laminate. While you shouldn't treat it as waterproof flooring suitable for full bathrooms, it handles the realities of kitchen spills and the moisture that comes with our rainy climate — wet footprints from the backyard, tracked-in puddles, the occasional knocked-over glass. Just wipe up spills within a reasonable timeframe and you're good.

One consideration: the embossed texture is attractive but relatively shallow. If you're seeking deep wire-brushed or hand-scraped textures, look at premium collections. For most applications, however, the surface texture provides good visual interest and adequate slip resistance.

The lifetime residential warranty provides genuine peace of mind, covering wear, stain, and fade issues. The 15-year light commercial coverage also opens doors for small business applications like boutique retail or professional offices.
