Agostino

The Beaulieu Gallo Agostino represents excellent value for homeowners seeking commercial-grade durability without breaking the bank. At 8.3mm thick with an HDF core, this laminate provides solid underfoot feel, though you'll want to add an underlayment for optimal comfort and sound dampening.

The AC4 rating means this floor can handle busy households with confidence. We particularly appreciate the aluminum oxide surface treatment, which creates a genuinely scratch-resistant finish that holds up to daily wear. Pet owners and families will find this surface forgiving of minor mishaps. Metro Vancouver flooring professionals regularly recommend it for active households where durability matters.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the Välinge 2G Drop Lock system. While not the newest generation of click systems, it's proven and reliable, making this a reasonable DIY project for those with basic skills. Plan for standard floating installation over a quality underlayment.

The matte finish and embossed texture give Agostino a convincingly natural appearance that photographs don't fully capture. In person, the grain detail and subtle color variations create visual interest without feeling busy.

One consideration: this is standard laminate, not waterproof. While the surface is stain-resistant, standing water can damage the HDF core. Kitchens and entryways are fine with quick cleanup, but bathrooms and laundry rooms should look elsewhere.
