Edward

Edward represents the design-safe choice in the Conquest collection, and that's not a criticism. In a world of trendy grays and bold statement floors, there's tremendous value in a genuinely neutral option that won't date your space or limit your décor choices.

The neutral beige tone walks a careful line between warm and cool, making it compatible with both the farmhouse chic and contemporary minimalist aesthetics that dominate current design trends. It photographs neutrally as well—important for those planning to sell or list their properties.

From a technical standpoint, Edward delivers identical performance to its more colorful siblings. The 12mm thickness provides the comfort and sound dampening that distinguishes premium laminates from budget options. The AC4 rating ensures this floor can handle demanding residential use and light commercial traffic. Vancouver flooring installers often recommend it for rental properties and pre-sale renovations.

The Välinge 5G Drop Lock system makes installation accessible for confident DIYers, though the 54.45" plank length requires some planning. The matte finish is practical, resisting fingerprints and footprints while maintaining a natural, unhurried appearance.

As with all standard laminates, moisture is the primary consideration. Edward is not water-resistant and requires immediate cleanup of spills. For kitchens or areas where water exposure is likely, consider upgrading to the Edward Xtra version with 72-hour spill protection.

The Austrian manufacturing and comprehensive certifications (FloorScore, TSCA Title VI, CARB II) ensure this product meets strict indoor air quality standards—important for households with young children or allergy concerns.
