Parchment

Parchment represents Armstrong's entry into the light flooring trend without sacrificing warmth. In a market where many light floors lean aggressively cool or stark white, Parchment maintains just enough cream undertone to feel inviting rather than clinical.

The Crafted Oak design is subtly different from the Pembroke Oak used in other colors. The grain pattern reads as slightly more refined—less rustic knots and character marks, more consistent overall appearance. This makes Parchment better suited to contemporary and modern farmhouse aesthetics than traditional country styles. Metro Vancouver installers often recommend this product for urban renovations where a clean, modern look is desired.

Light-colored floors traditionally show dirt and wear more readily, but Armstrong addresses this concern with the Diamond 10® Technology finish. The synthetic diamond-infused coating resists the scratches and scuffs that quickly age lesser light-colored floors. That said, dark dirt and pet hair will be more visible on this pale surface than on medium or dark colors.

The low shade variation creates an intentionally uniform look, which some consumers will love and others may find too consistent. If you prefer more visual interest and character, consider the Hayloft or Natural options instead.

For condos and apartments, Parchment offers practical advantages: it makes small spaces feel larger, it coordinates with virtually any furniture, and the waterproof construction handles the realities of multi-family living. The glue-down installation creates a stable, quiet floor that won't telegraph sounds to downstairs neighbors.
