Everest instead uses natural cotton and jute for the primary backing, jute for the secondary, and natural rubber as the adhesive: a construction with almost no petrochemical content. The face is 100% undyed wool in a heathered loop at 37 oz pile weight, VOC emissions are low, and there is no pattern repeat to complicate estimating. Roll width is 13'2" (4013 mm).

Performance remains firmly residential-grade: the Heavy Residential rating reflects wool's loop-form resilience, and the heathered coloration is practical camouflage, hiding everyday soil between vacuums the way flat single-tone piles cannot. The absence of insect-resist treatment (Insect Resist: No) is the consistent Dark Green trade-off — mitigated by routine vacuuming. Metro Vancouver flooring contractors will find installation conventional — stretch-in over pad with proper power-stretching — but should acclimatize the roll and respect that all-natural backings prefer dry, stable interiors; this is not a carpet for a questionable slab.
