Nature's Carpet Boreal Wool Carpet

Boreal's spec sheet is the strongest argument for it: 100% New Zealand wool, textured loop pile construction, and a 42 oz per square yard pile weight — roughly half again the density of entry wool Berbers. Density is the single best predictor of loop carpet longevity, and combined with the manufacturer's Heavy traffic rating it puts Boreal in genuine whole-house territory. The backing is a synthetic and jute composite bonded with synthetic latex, on a 12-foot roll.

Installation is conventional stretch-in over a separate pad, and Greater Vancouver flooring contractors will appreciate that nothing about it is exotic: standard power-stretch technique, standard seaming, firm pad underneath. The textured loop surface disguises tracking and vacuum marks better than a level loop, which matters in long hallways. As with any wool, it is not water-resistant — keep it to dry, above-grade rooms and clean spills with wool-safe products.

The 167 Aspen colorway is a light, slightly heathered neutral that brightens rooms starved of winter light. Its textured loop reads as woven fabric rather than carpet, sitting comfortably under both Scandinavian-leaning interiors and the timber-and-stone warmth of West Coast contemporary homes.
